Nursing at Malcolm X College

The world needs more nurses. Malcolm X College’s School of Nursing can help you become one. This program prepares students for a career as a professional registered nurse by combining nursing theory, training in a hands-on skills lab, simulation and clinical settings throughout the city of Chicago and surrounding suburbs.
This nursing program meets the standards of the Illinois Board of Nursing and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
How to Apply
- Complete the program’s prerequisite courses. See prerequisite courses here.
- Submit official high school or GED transcripts to the Office of the Registrar at Malcolm X College.
- Submit official college transcripts to the Office of the Registrar at Malcolm X College.
- Complete the ATI TEAS exam with the required scores.
- Calculate admissions cumulative GPA (See College Advisor).
- Certified/Licensed: C.N.A. for A.A.S Nursing Degree program; Unencumbered LPN license for LPN Bridge Pathway.

- Apply to Program in Student Portal at my.ccc.edu
All MXC Nursing applicants are required to take the ATI TEAS exam at Malcolm X College campus.
