The HSI STEM METAS program at Malcolm X College is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. This program is designed to provide students with the education, tools, and resources to successfully enter the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.

Participants can expect to:

Earn an Associate in Science degree and receive assistance to transfer to a four-year institution

Explore a variety of STEM careers

Develop professional skills before entering the workforce

Receive a stipend

The HSI STEM METAS program is designed to increase the number of Latinx students enrolled in college and in STEM fields, however, all students are eligible to apply. The program aims to help students from underrepresented backgrounds and communities gain access to opportunities that will help them reach their STEM career goals and secure a well-paying job in the workforce. You must be a Malcolm X College student pursuing an associate in science degree to apply.
